Hachiroku Gay Style

Share definition Flag
When perfectly straight AE86 owners act gay in order to purposely drive up and maintain high prices on the AE86. This in turn makes others not want to buy the AE86 because they do not want to be associated with gays.

Jose - Oh yeah, tell me about it! It’s the HachiRoku Gay Style that’s been keeping the prices up!

The japanese term for Toyota Trueno Gt-Apex. Chassis code is AE86 (the term 86 is not because of its year model but the chassis)
A popular drift car for its light-weight rear wheel drive set up.

Also appears in Initial D. It is a story of a kid named Takumi who delivers tofu at night by taking his father, Bunta's Hachi-roku out. Because of takumi's skill in downhill touge he quickly finds himself in the mountain street racing prefectures of gunma.

Stands for 8 and 6 in japanese (86). In a automotive context, it relates to the Corolla AE-86 hatchback, which is famous for it's drifting and racing capabilities, and referred by the YouTuber from the channel Bladed Angel in a funny way as the "Eight-uh-Six-uh", in an attempt to sound like a japanese man.
-I got an AE-86!
-Just tuned my 86.
-Hey, I crashed my Hachi-Roku in a track accident.

Hachi-Roku Harmony

Share definition Flag
The act of a male straddling another male in the driver’s seat of an AE86 while engaging in anal sex. With each thrust, the driver presses the gas, letting the legendary 4A-GE engine sing. As climax approaches, he skillfully rev-matches to 7500 RPM, unleashing a high-revving finish—reliable, precise, and, in true Toyota fashion, built to last.
As Joe straddled Jose in the driver’s seat of the AE86, each thrust was met with a tap on the gas, the 4A-GE screaming in perfect unison. With a final rev-match to 7,500 RPM, they reached their climax—executing a flawless Hachi-Roku Harmony that would make any AE86 enthusiast proud.”

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

- Harold Koh
