Gintellectual

Someone who pontificates about subjects (especially science, especially climate change) in the pub (or, even more likely, the golf club), while having no idea what they're on about. Typically to be found drinking gin and tonic, wearing a blazer, calling people "squire", playing golf, and driving a Jaaaaaaag.
"All this global warming nonsense. The Romans grew grapes in Yorkshire! Explain that!"

"You're right, Ken. Several thousand climatologists and many petabytes of hard evidence can't stand up to a single well-informed gintellectual."

Pseudo-Intellectual Circle Jerk

A gathering of people pretending that they are intelligent and congratulating each other for it.
Oh man. I remember years ago when TED conferences were filled with genuinely inspiring, fascinating and ground-breaking presentations. That recent TEDx conference was just a pseudo-intellectual circle jerk.

Intellectual Crush

Distinguishing between a "nerd" crush and typical "crush". Characterized by love of their mind, independent of their body or physical attraction. Can refer to person of same gender or opposite sex. Term is platonic in nature. Admiration of their unattainable intellectual or academic skill/thought process/insight, to a level of raw mental magnetism. In context, meant as a true and genuine compliment and can be used between friends or colleagues.
He is so damn clever, funny, and quick; he is by far one of my top intellectual crushes.

intellectually juvenile

The term 'intellectually juvenile' politely describes someone who is unintelligent, unwise or just not the 'sharpest knife in the drawer'.

The term 'intellectually juvenile' applies to a person, or group of people, who are not as developed in their thinking as they should be for their age, education, experience, geographical location, social environment, etc.

Background: Most of the people who are constantly calling other people 'stupid' are well known to be 'not-so-bright-themselves', and thus the word 'stupid' has lost its credibility and power as a descriptive term. The word 'stupid' is overused, low brow and passé.

Ex.

Jim: Glenn! Did you just call me stupid !?!

Glenn: No, Jim. However, I most certainly implied that you are 'intellectually juvenile'. (said while smiling and in a nice tone)

-

Jim: OK! I thought you were calling me stupid, and, I was about to get very upset. Sorry.

Glenn: That's OK Jim. Most 'intellectually juvenile' people are blissfully unaware when a person calls them out on their errors, nonsense and lies, and they are generally oblivious when a sentient uses accurate, basic and descriptive words to describe 'intellectually juvenile' people to themselves.

-

Jim: You are a great friend, Glenn!

Glenn: I know. (smiling that smile he is well known for)

Intellectual Rapist

A person or rather, the personality of a person, who likes to expose what people hides. One that carefully manages to analyze every meaning of someone's existence, exposing everything about him or her. It is composed with the words "Intellect" and "rape", this is because an intellectual rapist "rapes your mind", uncovering everything you have wether you like it or not.
In the Japanese visual novel "Umineko no Naku Koro Ni Chiru: Episode 5" we can find Furudo Erika as a perfect example as an Intellectual Rapist. She likes to solve riddle, meddle into other's affair and exposes everything they hide, not really caring about the effect this will have.

Normally, detectives fall in this category as they search for the truth, again exposing what others want to hide. For example, we can find even Sherlock Holmes as an intellectual rapist.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
