It is often unclear if it is a religion disguised as a joke, or a joke disguised as a religion -- much in the same vein as The Church of the Subgenius or Discordianism. They maintain an expansive website at www.branchfloridians.org and regularly put out e-zines called "The World Domination Update." The group's self-professed objective is "think for yourself!"
At first glance, the Branch Floridians appear to be an ultra-fundamentalist cult, but anyone paying attention should quickly realize this is a sarcastic fascade. Admittedly, though, it is often difficult to tell when they are being serious, and when they are joking. Such pranksterism is deliberately designed to provoke people into *thinking*.

The group has no relation to MSN troll Michelson-Morley or any of his alter-ego/pseudonics. There is a member of the Branch Floridians named Reverend FairInHeight 451, and Fairinheight451 is also a name used by Michelson-Morley. This is a coincidence, though it understandably has caused some confusion among people who dislike him for his trolling activities. Michelson-Morley is *not* a member of the Branch Floridians.

That MM is active in this cult is clear from the latter's references to the experiment on which he bases his nic.
The group puts on a humorous, Situationist exterior but this covers a serious paranoia and a resultant cult complex. They believe a small clique is controlling the world, and publish a regular bulletin, "World Domination".
Their name is a play on Branch Davidians, the name of the cult slaughtered at Waco.

The antics of several characters with links to this group, which may be either indoctrinated cult members or multiple ID's of the cult leader, have caused havoc on Anarchist Alliance and other MSN groups, where they take their intolerant views to the point of accusing others without foundation of being Nazis and starting flame wars over trivial issues.

The hair dryer serves to expel the noxious gas further and at a higher velocity and also heats the fart to further accentuate the auroma. Often times the hairdryer is aimed into an unsuspecting persons face. It is called a Floridian tail pipe as a homage to its creator who resides in Florida.
It took hours for Shirley to get the fart smell out of her clothes after I hit her with the ol' Floridian tail pipe.
