a genderless relationship term that can be used if your partner is agender, nonbinary, or other non-conforming gender identities. replaces the words "girl" or "boy" but keeps the suffix of "friend" so that this term fits nicely with the others. (also kind of sounds like your partner is from a fantasy realm, with "fey" sounding like "fae", another word for fairies/faeries).
"Raine is agender, meaning that they're neither a boy or a girl, they're my feyfriend."
"Amy's not answering my calls, her and her feyfriend are probably gettin it on in the woods!"
Girl 1: Sorry, I can't I have a date with my boyfriend.
Girl 2: He asked you out?!?!
Girl 1: Well...not yet...
Girl 2: OHHHH! You mean you have a date with your foyfriend.
Someone that you were in a relationship with but it wasn't quite a relationship. It could have been that:
1) You acted like you were in a relationship, except for lacking the physical.
2) You had the physical aspects of a relationship but outside of the bedroom you were just friends.
3) Almost a relationship except that one of you were in an actual full-blown relationship at the time, and the two of you couldn't quite get over that fact.
We had been sleeping together for three months and hung out together all the time but something was missing when were out on the town. I realized what was missing when we bumped into his boyfriend, which I guess made me his fauxfriend.
