Emojipunk 

Emojipunk is a subgenre of design that incorporates a visual aesthetic that is inspired by more apparent and commonplace computer-generated visual aesthetics such as emojis and their color palettes.

Chris Labrooy’s “Cataclysmic Combustion” Ferrari F355 employs an emojipunk aesthetic similar to the movies The Emoji Movie (2017) and Pixels (2015).

Emopunk

A tryhard genre of music generally inspired by both mid-2000s “emo” bands like My Chemical Romance or The All-American Rejects and actual good punk rock like NOFX, Rise Against, and the Kramps.

Emopunk music is also influenced by post-hardcore, alternative rock and grunge. Especially super mainstream bands like The Smashing Pumpkins or Nine Inch Nails.

I feel guilty for listening to so much emopunk on soundcloud. Aren’t emopunks posers?
