Nickname given to Daytona Beach, FL by many residents of Daytona Beach. Refers to the blue collar/white trash/ghetto domninated areas of the "city".

A mild Aussie sledge, slur or insult similar to muppet, idiot or fool. Inspired by a species of ant, from central Queensland, who can’t build regular sensible anthills, but instead builds a “dirtknob” anthill in the fork of a tree or on top of a fence post.

Jen exclaimed “Ya bloody big dirtknob!!” to her brother Richie when he forgot to bring ice to the bbq.
