Darktard

A Burning Man attendee who displays their stupidity by lying down on the Playa at night without blinkies or glow sticks to warn art cars and bicycles of their presence.

See also: speed bump.

Burner 2: "Did he have any blinkies on?"

Burner 1: "No."

Burner 2: "What a darktard."

Derived from "Dark" and "Dickwad". At Burning Man, a Darkwad is someone who is walking around or riding a bike at night with insufficient illumination. With the thousands of bike riders, art vehicles and pedestrians swarming about on the Playa, it is everyone's responsibility to make sure that they can be easily seen at night from a distance. People most commonly accomplish this with LEDs, Glow Sticks, Glow Wire, and Head Lanterns mounted either on their bike or on their person; The more the better. People who fail to do so get cat-called, ridiculed and humiliated by the other Playa denizens.
I was at the Opulent Temple last night, saw Carl Cox, and was on my way to the twin domes to see Bassnectar when I plowed into a Darkwad head-on. Good thing I was rolling my balls off so I barely felt a thing. I "gifted" him with a swift kick to the nutz, adjusted my assless chaps, dusted off my purple plush cowboy hat, and carried on.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
