Dagum is used as "slang word", if you will, in the South. Most Rednecks use this terminology, but other "Classy" Rednecks prefer it over other words in order to keep they're "Classyness" up-to-date.

C'mon, be honest with yourself. The word "daguerreotype" doesn't make you think of photographs. It makes you think of something ethnic. Something saucy. Something like an evil Mexican sorcerer.
