Connubin 

A sandwich that was created by Conner and Lovejoy separately but at the same time. Its name is a of conjunction of Conner's name and the residents hall (where it was invented) Rubin.

The Connubin consists of:

2 pieces of white bread
Turkey
Provolone

Lettuce

Hummus

and Mayo

TOASTED

A woman who is involved in a monogamous relationship with a man but is not legally married to him. An old term for a kept woman or girlfriend.

She is usually a willing participant in the relationship and may be of any social status.

Anne Boleyn was just a concubine in the eyes of her opponents and she was slandered as a homewrecker; Katherine of Aragon was Henry VIII's true queen in their eyes.

The harem of the palace did house the Sultan's wives and concubines, but it typically also housed all of the women of the palace, including his mother, sisters, aunts, and cousins.

Queen Catherine de' Medici resented her husband's dalliances with his much older concubine, Diane de Poitiers.

The senator's wife was indignant, barely containing her rage when she confronted her husband about the secret series of concubines that he had.

Living together with several different sex/romantic partners. To have multiple girlfriends or wives, all of whom know about each other and live in the same house. Polygamy.

Originated thousands of years ago as a means of producing a large number of offspring, and as a status symbol, to show off how many women and children a man could afford to provide for, and to display virility. Now banned in most countries, but was once common practice, even in early Christendom: Charlamagne had multiple wives.

The word was recently popularized by one Ricky Lackey, a convicted thief who, when asked by the judge at his trial how many children he had, replied: "None now, but I have six on the way." When the judge asked if he was marrying a woman who had six children, he replied "No, I be concubining." Meaning, of course, that he had 6 girlfriends, all of whom were pregnant.

Judge: "Do you have any children?"
Lackey: "No, but I have six on the way."
Judge: "So, you're marrying a woman with six children?"
