When someone over explains and speaks down to a younger generation. Does not have to involve a boomer.

Boomer: When I was a kid, we went outside to have fun- Oh, you probably don't even know what that is. It's what you'd see if you ever pulled your head out of your phone!
Gen Z: Yeah Carol, stop boomersplaining, I obviously fucking know what outside is.

boomersplaining 

When baby boomers use their own, often outdated, personal experience to talk down on younger people, especially millennials.

Person A: "Dang, it's tough to afford college, land a job, and buy a house."

Person B: "Stop complaining, when I was your age, I worked a summer job to pay for college! Stop eating avocado toast and you might be able to afford a house!"

Person A: "Uh, thanks for boomersplaining but things are different today."

Boomerslang 

1) A common word or phrase that's meaningless, but is meant to rope people in. It's an amalgamation of corporate speak and platitudes--A buzzword that instills hope but makes no promise and has no intent to deliver.

They claim to offer "competitive pay." That's boomerslang for "we pay sh*t, but promise that with your loyalty we'll pay better, even though we won't."

Boomsplain 

To mansplain something except not from a man, but from someone born from 1946-1964, otherwise known as Boomer.

My boomer friend had to boomsplain what *Hot Potato* was to me the other day. He said, "The game Hot Potato is a classic game from many of us older guys' youth....

....The rules for Hot Potato are 'Gather a group of 3 or more people. One person will sit out and play music on their phone or a radio for as long as they want while everyone in the group passes a potato around the circle. Whoever is holding the potato when the music stops loses the round. Keep playing until one winner remains!'"
