When you're about to spill the beans or testify about something shady, but you mysteriously meet your maker before you can say a word.

Example:"Man, after he announced he was going to testify against the company, he totally got Boeing'd. Found him floating in a river last Tuesday."

Being led on to believe a girl/boy is interested in dating you, but in fact they just don't want to hurt your feelings and say no. During this often month-plus long process, you will find yourself missing out on many other girls who you were interested in. Could be described as a prolonged tease. Derived from the Marian Hossa crisis of the 2008-2009 NHL offseason, in which Marian Hossa forced the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Club to wait for an answer as to who he would sign with during the free agency period. Much to the contrary of popular speculation, Hossa signed with the Detroit Red Wings.

I thought she liked me, but I was being hossa'd the entire time!

am I being punk'd?

An expression of surprise and disbelief that is uttered when one is in a situation that is perceived to be rediculous or beyond belief. Usually said when a person assumes that they are being fooled or made the butt end of a practical joke; not wanting to face the facts of a real situation.
Originating from the TV show hosted by Ashton Kutcher called punk'd where he plays practical jokes on fellow celebrities deceiving them into accepting a crazy scenario or situation is real.

Jackass: dude, your house burned down and everyone you love is dead! Oh, and your girlfriend is cheating on you!

Pedro: What?! Am I being punk'd?
