Double Barreling
The unfortunate event, usually due to food poisoning, of vomiting and having explosive diarrhea at the same time.
Several hours after our date at the Chinese restaurant, my wife and I got food poisoning and were double barreling all night long.

Gardening Olympics
The sporting events gardeners participate in at the first sight of sunrise, tormenting local residents with their obnoxious, gas powered tools. These sporting events usually take place in apartment complexes, a couple days a week, beginning early in the morning and last the majority of the day.
The Gardening Olympics started at 6am this morning and went on well into the afternoon. Needless to say, I was unable to sleep in and now have a headache. I think today's events were rock mowing, sidewalk raking, and the power decibel endurance leaf blow. FML.

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
