An Adelaideth is a unit of time measure. It equates to 15 minutes of regular Earth time as defined by the International System of units. An Adelaideth may also be used as a unit of distance (only in Adelaide), since most of Adelaide speed limits are 60km/h, an Adelaideth approximates 15km.

History: The phrase was first coined in 2011 by one Geoffrey Aro when, in discussions with Lovey, he realised that most Adelaide locals stick to a 15 km radius of their place of residence. More than two Adelaideths of travel is for special occasions...or wineries.

Plural: Adelaideths.
John lives an Adelaideth from the Stag (local pub).

McLaren Vale is three Adelaideths from the city.

No way Jane! not coming to your place, it's more than three Adelaideths from mine.
