20/20 hindsight

perfect foresight of what has already happened
Howard said that he knew that there would be an attempted assassination. Such knowledge is a good example of of 20/20 hindsight.
Words you can keep

Hindsight is 20/20

Phrase used to describe the fact that it is easy for one to be knowledgable about an event after it has happened.

IE: An individual has a realization about the event that should have been obvious all along, yet they didn't catch on because they were acting in the heat of the moment.

Also allows one to learn from their mistakes.
After looking back on the situation, Jim realized that quitting his job was a foolish act.

Jim: "Dad, why did you let me quit my job without interceding?"

Dad: "Hindsight is 20/20, son, learn from your mistakes."

Hindsight is 20/20

But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy

Hindsight is 20/20

A nonsensical way to express the idea that it's easy to see what the right course of action was, when the dust has settled.

20/20 vision is 50th percentile, average. It's mediocre. It means you can see at 20 feet what the average, middle-of-the-line person can see at 20 feet. Hindsight (perfect deduction) is the opposite of that. It's flawless. Properly expressed, to make any sense and actually convey the intended meaning, it would be "Hindsight is 20/0".

Stop saying this nonsense bullshit.
"Don't beat yourself up about it, hindsight is 20/20"

Highsight is 4/20

Phrase used to describe the fact that it is easy for one to be knowledgable about an event after it has happened and the high has worn off.

IE: An individual has a realization about the event that should have been obvious all along, yet they didn't catch on because they were too high.

From the future, when the high wears off, we can look back and see what we could not see when we were in the past because we were too high.

Also allows one to learn from their mistakes.
After looking back on the situation, Mikey realized that ordering 20 unicorn onesies was a decision he made because he was very high.

Mikey: "Sarah, why did you let me order 20 unicorn onesies yesterday without even trying to stop me?”

Sarah: "Highsight is 4/20, Mikey, learn from your mistakes."

2020 is hindsight

The year 2020 is overwith. What people living through the COVID-19 pandemic cannot wait to be able to say starting on January 1, 2021.
Jackie: Boy, that was a rough year. I am so glad we are in to 2021 and that whole COVID-19 mess is behind us. Donny was getting wound up about how COVIDgilent I was being.

Jill: Yup, 2020 is hindsight. On the upside, you guys did deliver a beautiful COVID boomer in December.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
