Usually a quick sharp slap to the back of another's head.
usually delivered to stop said person in their tracks so as not to continue their stupid chatter or activity.
Also usefull if one can see stupidity approaching..one can administer some "Percussive Maintenance to stop it before it stops.

Joe strikes out with a lady at the bar.
Next day Fred starts to tell friends about it.
Joe delivers some 'Percussive Mantenance' to the back of Fred's head.

Maintenance Hang

Hanging out with a friend or acquaintance after not doing so for an extended period, and with no intention of doing so again soon. Meant to 'maintain' a relationship, but not necessarily further it.

Yea, I hadn't talked to Doug in like five weeks, so I'm going over there tonight for a maintenance hang. Hopefully I won't have to see him again for a few weeks...

Snowflake generation changed an inanimate object to be gender neutral. Manhole hurts feelings.

A manhole, AKA sewer lid in pavement, has the word ‘man’ which is sexist and inappropriate. Please call it a Maintenance hole going forward.
