Thanosing 

When a crackpot comes up with a dumb idea that takes a normal person less than 10 seconds to figure out why it is dumb, but the crackpot can't be talked out of it because they don't ever come up with good ideas, so their ego gets wrapped up in never letting go of this one dumb idea.
