Hey! You know who else won't be able to get any food?
Hym "ME! I won't be able to get any food either. But not because of the government shutdown. I don't use a cent of taxpayer dollars. Well, actually I used 2000 of governmentmoney after my landlord turned me on to a post covid program that guve you money for rent. That was back went my car broke down and my only source of income was doordash. So, 2000 taxpayer dollars in 35 years. I'm not going to have any food until Friday because my gas station pay is shit and I'm not getting paid for literally inventing AI. So, I have half a loaf of bread. I have less than a half a gallon of water. I can't count on both hands the number of times I've had to go without. THIS TIME is relatively better because at least I have the break and an assortment of jalapeño jams my mother made. But I will finish that gallon of water and I'm not going to have anything to drink until Friday at 4 am. Can't drink out of my sink. The water that comes out of my sink is a milky white. So isn't that interesting? Now that YOU won't have anything to eat, it's a crisis. Isn't that crazy?"
If you do not wish to suffer the consequences of your provocative actions, do not pursue your current course of action. Taunt implying, "you started it."
An accusation, as in the movie, Men in Black, where Agent J tells the bug he started trouble by coming to Earth "snatching up galaxies." Specifically, in the movie, the galaxy is hidden on a cat's collar (Orion's "belt").
"Why did you have to come here snatching up galaxies and everything? There would not have been any trouble if you had not done that. Don't start nothing, won't be nothing," Agent J, Men in Black
Nickname given to bales of marijuana thrown overboard or out of airplanes. Origin is reportedly from members of the US Coast Guard in the area of Southern Florida.
A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
