Vansient

A transient with just enough resources to own and live in a van with a mattress in the back. They can often be found in the parking lots of truck stops. They are recognized by their feet hanging out of the back of the van while they take a mid-day nap and the obvious fact that all of their worldly possessions are stuffed into the van leaving just enough room to sleep.

The other day I saw vansients at the Flying J. Their feet were tanning in the afternoon sun.

Vanpire

(n): Any work van, but particularly those from public utilities, with two fluorescent traffic cones mounted in front pointing down so they look like fangs. Incredibly ridiculous looking, since the cones would probably be easier to manage pointed up, but very real.

Haven't we seen that vanpire from the cable company go by fifteen times? Why isn't the damn TV fixed yet?

a play on the term the empire strikes back thus coined after a burnout revenge mission known as the vanfire strikes back meaning a unpredictable sadistic retaliation when someone is sufficiently angered.
eg spamming disgusting and disturbing content from an anonymous social media account
or screwing someone out of an amenity or service or beating someone's ass to were they will never function correctly again

guy 1 did you hear Eric got Chris with the vanfire after he told on Kyle for doing wheelies on his dirtbike in the parking lot!!??
