the Dukes

Refering to "Dukes" a character from the motion picture Semi-Pro. is a state which every narcotic user (especially heavy narcotics, such as heroin) yearns for. It is the state in which you drift in and out of conciousness for possibly several hours on end, and is associated with the state of "nirvana". It's literally to the point where you feel so good you don't care if you are are asleep or awake, because you'll feel great anyway When a person has "the nods" they feel very, very good, and is typically, after a "rush" the second favorite thing on any junkie's "to do" list after using narcotics. It's basically every junkie's dream.

The dukes of moral hazard

The term 'dukes of moral hazard' describes any leaders of organisations who are ultimately sheltered from their risk-taking by being given support from a lender of last resort when everything goes completely wrong.

It may or may not become a TV show satirising contemporary finance where people get into cars through the window as they did in "The Dukes of Hazzard".
Did you see the Dukes of Moral Hazard last night? They bailed into their cars through the windows again!

hide the duke

When at a house party, Hiding the Duke is when you take a crap in the home owner's drawer, closet, or somewhere they won't look. Eventually the whole house will smell, but they'll be clueless as to what is causing the stench!

The Duke

John Wayne. The ultimate gunslinging star of the Western, and one of the greatest men ever to live.

He played the same character in every movie he was ever in. Calm, rugged--a real man with a gun and a heart. He never changed, and that's why we love him. You always knew where you stood with John Wayne.
