A common American colloquial phrase, in which one person suggests to or urges on another person(s) that they should do something. Sometimes this advice is giving to get the person(s) to commit to doing sometime dangerous or outside the persons' norms.

The phrase was originally coined in 1995 by life coach & professional actor, Martin Lawrence on the extremely popular television program "Martin". This was the episode that Corey Haim was a special guest star.
