telephobic

adj. Used to describe an individual who uses a phone for all purposes other than conversation (text, email, etc.).
My friend is so telephobic, she'll text through an entire conversation rather than use a telephone for its intended purpose!

Telephobia 

Fear of communicating long distance (not just on the phone).

This word has the greek prefix "tele" that means distant communication, and phobia, which means fear.
I don't like communicating over a long distance because I could embarrass myself because I don't know much about the other countries that they live in. I think I have telephobia.

telephonitis
