Friedman ("The Defilers," "A Smell of Honey, A Swallow of Brine," "A Sweet Sickness"), Mike and Roberta Findlay ("Touch of Her Flesh") and current neo-sexploitation films and books like "Run Bitch, Run" and Perez's own, "Permanent Obscurity: Or A Cautionary Tale of Two Girls and Their Misadventures with Drugs, Pornography, and Death."

Sexploitation noir or the psychosexual black and white grindhouse feature films dominated 42nd Street or "the Deuce" before the arrival of XXX.
