reclaimant 

Used as adjective or adverb to describe the broad process of reclamation. As a noun, the agent of the reclaiming process. To bring back into circulation some idea, product, artefact, use, tool, etc. To restore to contemporary practice some seemingly defunct mode of doing or being. To synthesize old things into new as in infrastructures, sounds, imagery, texts. Essentially to restore value to something considered lost or antiquated. Someone who adheres to the idea that such a process holds value, utility, and relevance.

Reclaimant urbanism is the ongoing study and project to find relevance within the broken fabric of formerly integrated urban spaces.
Reclaimant poetry utilizes individual phrases and pieces of language that are intentionally designed to relay contextual value based on historical and contemporary meanings or understandings.
In practice I find myself to be a reclaimant.

Slur-reclamation is when a slur is Reconceptualized as an accepted or satirical word. Usually slur-reclamation is used by oppressed groups such as the LGBT community. Some examples of this may include Dyke, Gay Agenda, tranny, Queen, faggot, and many others, all vary in usage.

Homophobe: “Hey, faggot.”

Gay: “Thank You, I was really trying.”

Homophobe: What? How dare you not get offended that was my only way to diminish you.”

Play Reclamation

The intentional restoration of play as an essential human capacity for creativity, connection, learning, healing, and collective flourishing. Play Reclamation recognizes that opportunities for play are often diminished by chronic stress, trauma, rigid social expectations, discrimination, overwork, or systems that prioritize productivity over well-being.

Play Reclamation is the practice of reclaiming play as a lifelong human right and a vital aspect of individual and community health. It challenges cultural narratives that frame play as childish, unproductive, or optional, instead recognizing play as a source of imagination, experimentation, joy, resilience, and social belonging.

Play Reclamation includes creating environments where people of all ages can safely explore, create, move, rest, laugh, imagine, and connect without unnecessary judgment or pressure to perform.

For many people—including those recovering from trauma, navigating disability, embracing neurodiversity, or rebuilding community after conflict—play can become a pathway toward trust, self-expression, nervous system regulation, and renewed participation in community life.

Play Reclamation also extends beyond recreation. It includes reclaiming curiosity, improvisation, wonder, and creative exploration as essential components of education, work, civic life, environmental stewardship, and cultural transformation.

I am sooooo excited that we are living in times that honor and revere play reclamation as a sacred practice and rite of passage! This is the pathway to New Earth frequencies and supports collective liberation!

Noetic Reclamation

Noetic reclamation is the intentional restoration of authorship, provenance, meaning, and creative identity when a person experiences their intellectual or creative contributions as having been appropriated or separated from their source. Through documentation, attribution, symbolic marking, embodiment, boundary-setting, and continued creation, the creator re-establishes their relationship to the work without requiring control over another person's consciousness or property.

And a more mystical formulation:

The energetic essence is not reclaimed by chasing the copy. It is reclaimed by returning to the source.

That could make noetic reclamation a particularly strong counterpart to your concept of noetic appropriation: one describes the extraction of knowing; the other describes the process of restoring authorship, agency, lineage, and creative sovereignty.

Noetic Reclamation has been an important process and practice after leaving cult and trafficking spaces where my energy, essence and ideas were attempted to be packaged for capitalism and exploited to make money. I call and claim all of my creative enterprise, essence, energy and ideas back to me! Noetic reclamation is also about ensuring there are uniqe energetic signatures in all works every completed through time and space - if you know, you know.
