A conditon in which gamers, through steady provoking, simply cannot take being killed (cheaply or otherwise) anymore and leave a online game game mid-match. Mostly occurs in multiplayerfirst person shooters. I.E Call Of Duty or Halo.
Warning signs preceding this action include
-The throwing of said gamers controller
-Rampant punching of a sofa/love seat
-Yelling at family members/roommates
-Letting loose a stream of expletives and complaining over in-game chat
Joe: Why is Jack leaving every call of duty match he gets into?
James: Oh, man thats a bad case of Rage Quitting
A thing that happens when one gets angry and doesn't want to play (or other verb) anymore. Can involve either the quiet rage quit of just leaving without saying anything, or the more loud type that many think of when hearing of "rage quitting". Obviously rage quitting may be frowned upon, but it's perfectly natural. All of us humans have emotions and some of us, when facing an unfair situation or are provoked, just can't stand it. Which is why either we take it out, or we quit. The only thing we can do is quit to be even the least bit respectful. That's where "rage quitting" comes from. We can't do anything about it, so we quit.
Player: "Alright, fuck this, I can't handle it anymore." >leaves
Toxic Player: "HE RAGEQUIT LMFAOOOO he should've gotten gud instead of rage quitting"
