(noun) 1. Humans from the perspective of cats. 2. A being for cats to lounge upon whilst napping. 3. Somebody for cats to stand upon whilst demanding petting or complaining about the quality of gooshy food or the condition of the litter box. 4. The treating of humans like furniture.

purrmission

The consent to allow "physical socializing" (petting, cuddling, etc.) that a cat gives you by emitting his classic "contented thunder" sound, letting you know that he's "in the mood for lovies".

Our new kitten is somewhat high-strung, so I always make sure to get purrmission before I pick him up.
