A person in the media that considers themselves qualified to opine on the merits of anything but particularly politics. Usually this person is a lawyer that's tired of lawyering but can be from any profession. This person's opinion is usually followed by a "face palm" moment or a simple DOH! yet they assume their opinion is worth more than others.
Ron Christie is frequently seen on TV offering his political opinion because he worked for President Bush. Mr. Christie is a lawyer and pundolt.
