A successful, generally beautiful, prominent, well-paid model. This is not to be confused with supermodel as powermodels are generally thinner, make less money, and have less staying power. Powermodels include Tyson Beckford, Adriana Lima, Liya Kebede, Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Gemma Ward, Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, Chritie Brinkley, Twiggy, Iman, Jerry Hall, Rachel Hunter, etc.

Is that girl on the cover of Cosmo a powermodel?
No. She's just a regular model. No one even knows her name.

Tyson Beckford is one of the very few male powermodels.
