Words you can keep

Pitseleh

A song by Elliott Smith not so much about unrequited love, but about being loved by someone who loves you, but knowing they’re only in love with who they think you are. And that you can only ever fail them and hurt them. Even though you love them so truly that you don’t want to hurt them, even if that means you cannot be with them. But you still hurt them, just by being what you are, and by being lucky/unlucky enough to know them, and you’re hurt too. Maybe more deeply than you can handle. And all this you keep to yourself, because how could you ever tell them? How could you ever let them know who you really are?
Elliott Smith rarely played Pitseleh in concert, often dismissing it as too much of a “lyrics based song” when it was requested, though some have speculated that it was a rare example of a song too special or personal for him to be performed like his others.

People's Republic of Pineland

Used in Army Special Forces community as the ficticous name for about 14 or 15 counties of North Carolina.

While going through Special Forces training the final element is a several week long exercise called Robin Sage. It takes place in these counties of N.C. During the exercise you plan and carry out operations as though you're in the imaginary People's Republic of Pineland. The exercise starts with a parachute infiltration of Pineland followed by a series of exercises training "guerillas" operating in the area.

Every once in a while a soldier going through the SF Q course will accidentally interact with a local who doesn't realize their in Pineland. But most of the locals in the community will particiapte in the exercise playing civilians and are aware the Army uses the area they live in for training. A local sherrif once shot a couple soldiers who thought he was part of the exercise after they tried to bribe him with Pineland money.
Soldier 1: how ya doing buddy?

Soldier 2: got my ass through SERE, now its on to the People's Republic of Pineland and I'm done.

pitseleh

A song by Elliott Smith about true unrequited love.
I'll tell you why I don't want to know where you are
I got a joke I've been dying to tell you
The silent kid is looking down the barrel
To make the noise that I kept so quiet
I kept it from you, pitseleh

I'm not what's missing from your life now
I could never be the puzzle pieces
They say that god makes problems just to see what you can stand
Before you do as the devil pleases
And give up the thing you love

But no one deserves it

The first time I saw you, I knew it would never last
I'm not half what I wish I was
I'm so angry, I don't think it'll ever pass
And I was bad news for you, just because
I never meant to hurt you

lou piniella

Nicknamed "Sweet Lou", a popular major league baseball team manager. Formerly a player for several teams in the 60s-80s. Since then he has managed for five teams, currently the Chicago Cubs. He is famous for becoming very angry at umpires which usually results in him screaming in their face and then throwing his hat on the ground, which is very funny to watch.
From Wikipedia: "In a game on September 18, 2002 in a 3–2 (10) win against the Texas Rangers, Lou Piniella came out to argue a call in the bottom of the ninth in which the umpire called out Ben Davis after a close play at first and was immediately tossed by first base umpire C.B. Bucknor after throwing down his hat. Afterwards, he kicked his hat several times, aggressively approached Bucknor as he was screaming in his face, and kicked dirt on him as well. After being restrained by first base coach Johnny Moses, he then ripped first base from its mooring then threw it down the right field foul line twice after he imitated the umpire tossing him out."
