Palos Park

An affluent suburb of Chicago characterized by new money and sprawling forests. Of Chicago's south suburbs, Palos Park is by far the wealthiest and most expensive. Trees outnumber people 10,000 to 1. Tucked behind acres of woods are some of the biggest damn houses you can find in Chicago. Not as rich as nearby Hinsdale - or northern burbs like Winnetka - but compared to the "other" Palos-es, it's Beverly Hills.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Palos
Q: Which Palos? Hills, Heights, or Park?
A: Palos Park - Didn't you see my Maserati?

Palos Verdes Estates

A very rich area in Los Angeles County with a bunch of million dollar houses and stuck up kids who have parents that are rich as hell. It contains one high school (Palos Verdes High) one middle school (PVIS) and two elementary schools. Palos Verdes High School is the school with the best athletes on the hill. Even though it is a good school, it has some girls that think they are models or movie stars or shit like that. PVHS has nerds, troublemakers, jocks, and much more. Even though this school has a reputation for really good athletes, that is the truth. Teenagers in this town who really want entertainment and don't own a car of their own are out of luck, because the Palos Verdes Estates residents will complain any loud music or shit. But the teenagers who do own a car of their own usually drive to Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, or Redondo Beach to have the fun and excitement. Palos Verdes Estates is not the place to party at all.
Kid 1: Lets have a party at my house
Kid 2: Dude, the neighbor next door will complain her ass off or call the police if she hears any loud music.
Kid 1: All right then, let's just invite some of our buddies to meet us in Hermosa Beach. We can chill in that area where there is more fun and excitement. Lets get out of Palos Verdes Estates fora while.

Palos Verdes

An affluent yet incredibly boring suberb in Los Angeles County located along the coast between San Pedro and Redondo Beach. Also known as "The Hill" or "The Bubble". Noteworthy for having no entertainment of any kind at any time, forcing inhabitants to drive to neighboring beach cities such as Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan for nightlife, while hoping to avoid the loving embrace of the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department upon their inebriated return. Noteworthy for having the only 7/11 in the free world that isn't open 24/7.
I tried to wear a collared shirt and blue jeans to go to the driving range at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, but the guy in the Pro Shop told me they have a strict "No Denim" policy.

Palos Verdes

The town in which tennis moms meet for coffee at Starbucks and exchange the latest gossip, CEO fathers head off to work every morning in their designer suits carrying Italian leather suitcases, and teenagers in fancy cars, with music turned all the way up, drive to the top of the hill to start a new day of classes and social interactions. A place of cliffside mansions, localized surf spots, and an unnecessary number of golf courses. City council has control over how tall trees get, whether or not street lights are allowed, and the new pool in your backyard.
We have a view ordinance so that the neighbors below us canot grow trees that will block our 180 degree view of Catalina, there are no street lights in my neighborhood. I live above the Donald Trump golf course.

Palos Verdes

1. A collective term for the four cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Palos Verdes, and Rancho Palos Verdes).

2. Literally means "green sticks" in Spanish.

3. Also known as "the hill."
"It's not the black Beverly Hills, it's the black Palos Verdes."

Palos Verdes Estates Police

The assholes in Palos Verdes who get paid for nothing but take care of problems that the residents complain and whine about and to put stop signs in random places to slow everything down. Who needs police when the area is one of the wealthiest in California?
Dude, me and my bro were driving and we didn't see a stop sign so we got a ticket from the Palos Verdes Estates Police.
More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!

mormon assault vehicle

another term for a station wagon, mini-van, or any other kind of vehicle that is targeted at the "family" demographic(also M.A.V.)
"Tactical advantages aside, the M.A.V. is top of the line for the holy warrior troop transport manufactured by the Church of Latter Day Saints Military Industrial Complex. Also great for family trips...to heathen lands."
