Began being used after "Omar Little" (a jackboy gangster played by Michael K. Williams in the hit series "The Wire") survives dozens of gun fights and close calls but ends up getting shot and killed from behind by a small child. Many fans of the character were outraged by this and thus the phrase "he got Omared" was born.
