Odalys is a girl that you would need in your life. She's crazy, funny, and an amazing Best friend. Whenever you see her she is the most beautiful girl around. odalyz 

Odalyz is a very rare type of girl. She can be a social butterfly but she can also be a girl who keeps to her self. She can be nice to the people she loves like friends and family, but she can also be mean to them as well, even if she doesn't mean to be. It's very hard for her to say sorry to the people she especially loves. She is a beautiful girl inside and out even if it doesn't seem so on the inside at times. She acts tough but is actually very sensitive, but tries to not let people know because she is afraid of what people will say. She has a lot of ups and downs in her roller coaster of a life. Although people may tell her she is beautiful, she does not believe a single word. But she is beautiful no matter what. She also likes to watch sports especially soccer, cause she has a passion for soccer. If you know or have an odalyz in your life, hold on to her, because you will never find another one of her. Odelay

While recording Beck's 1996 album of the same name, the then-unnamed track 'Lord Only Knows' was written down by the engineer as 'O-Del-Ay' based on his phoenetic understanding of the outro vocal. Beck is ACTUALLY singing "Órale", which is a common Hispanic term meaning:

1. affirmation that something is impressive, exclamatory
2. an agreement with a statement (similar to 'word')
3. alarm, surprise or danger
4. a simple greeting
5. "hurry up"

Beck liked the misspelling, naming the album after it. As such, the word carries a similar exclamatory function to it's Spanish pronunciation.
