This nickname was coined in part because of the super sparkly helmets that said Jaguars wear. Jaguars are of course a large variety of cat. So, it wasn't much of a leap for people to start calling them the "Glitter Kitties."
This nickname is thought to have been coined by Indianapolis Colts fans. Even if that is not the case, we do hereby take credit for said coining of the nickname
