An extreme state of hunger that may include any or all of the following: Full sensory input (taste, sight, smell, feel) of the food being craved, the sense that your stomach is eating itself, life-threatening danger toward those who come between you and food, and registering high on the starvation scale of 1 to 12, with Level 12 being akin to cataclysmic.
