In the Christmas/Holiday season, any greeting whose sole instrumental purpose is a financial transaction.

When an employee of a retail establishment greets a shopper in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year-- though in particular, beginning on Black Friday.

CLERK: "Season's Greedings, Ma'am."
SHOPPER: "Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you, too. Do you accept American Express?"

'Merry Christmas' and 'Happy Holidays' are the most common season's greedings.

gerdiness

After too much drinking and/or eating over a 2-3 hour period, there is an excess amount of gerd in the throat that causes uncomfortable burning sensations and excessive burping...not to mention an overall feeling that one would feel the need to have to throw up.

I was a total pig at the arcade! --- After 8 beers, two meals, and a pint of ice cream, there was a definite gerdiness when I slept that night.

Gremliness

noun- used to describe the state of something's appearance being quite ugly and reprehensible. Taken from the word "Gremlin"; something that resembles a Gremlin; having the qualities of becoming even more hideous upon getting wet with water ie. rain, falling in a pool or lake; a female gremlin

Example: "Oh my gosh, She should really stop wearing so much make up....it only accentuates her gremliness."
