Glenellen opened in August of 1999 and was named in honor of an early 20th century African-American school located nearby. Glenellen is currently the largest elementary school in the CMCSS school district. We proudly serve approximately 1,000 students. Glenellen strives for academic excellence and is a Tennessee Reward School. Our mission to work with families and students to establish high standards for academic success, citizenship, and environmental awareness.

Genelle is strong girl with the mindset of a champion, she is her biggest critique and a warrior. Genelle is a cute and everyone wants to be around her, she attracts people with her comedy, and when it comes to friends she’s like a big sister to them.
