2016 Usage: The term has become a suitable replacement for "fuckboy" or "douchebag", particularly because the former is a more generalized insult and the latter can be interpreted as insulting toward women.
A fucktrumpet is a person, generally male, who socially engages with people just for the purpose of obtaining power, pride, and a sense of control. This typically involves sex and relationships.
The archetype for the fucktrumpet is any man who entertains another male/female for the sole purpose of sexual pleasure. Most commonly, a fucktrumpet will rope someone into a relationship as a means to stabilizing their uninteresting life, only to use them up and throw them out when the next fancy comes along. Lying, cheating, and bullshitting are the most effective weapons utilized by the average fucktrumpet.
If you come across a fucktrumpet, you will be alerted by a few distinctive features:
1) Neck chains and fancy lighters
