This is usually done because the individual is a failure and has nothing else going on their life so they live vicariously through a 3rd party celebrating the 3rd party's accomplishments as if they were their own. The individual abandons logic in favor of senselessly worshiping, supporting, and defending this 3rd party who couldn't care less about them. Unfortunately, the fan fuck fails to realize that behaving this way will only deteriorate their social standing further. A fan fuck generally has no independent accomplishments of their own which is seen as the gateway of becoming a fan fuck.
