The tricky act of mixing country and industrial decorating styles. This style of decor was invented by a cool chick on the northern Oregon Coast, who has talent for mixing the absurd in decor. She just thinks it's okay to color out of the lines. And so, she does. FYI-throwing a couple of creepy things into the mix makes it even more interesting.
Chrome & aluminum, mixed with old tins, dark hardwood floors. Wainscoting and metallic paint above it. 1950's aluminum cookie jars are a good example of coundustrial. They were the industrial look at the time, but are now old enough to be considered a country accent.

Chunder Cannon
When one is held horizontally above the ground and then 'loaded' with excessive amounts of alcohol before being 'fired' (rocked) backwards and forwards a number of times. If this process does not induce chundering, then the cannon must again be reloaded and the process continued until successful vomiting is induced.

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.
The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
