(verb) To pretend to share joy with another, while secretly experiencing strong feelings of jealousy, and doing a poor job of concealing said jealousy; Giving disingenuous compliments whilst sippin a large cup of haterade. This action is almost always painfully obvious to others. Derived from a combination of the words "celebrate" and "hate."

Roger: "Did you see Tom's new ride?! That thing is sick!"
Hater: "Mmm hmmm...yeah, it was nice."
Roger: "Dude, you're so celebrahating on him!"

Tony: "What do you think of Sean's new girlfriend? She's so hot!!"
Hater: "Umm, yeah, she was....alright. I'm so happy for him." (Slurping haterade)
Tony: "I smell celebrahate wafting from your direction."

Celebrahty

A play on the word "brah" (a not-so-polite slang reffering to hippie jamband fans), celebrahty refers to notorious characters in the jamband scene who have become (negatively, positevely, or comedically) semifamous due to photos and/or gossip being spread on jamband message boards such as phantasytour.com and phishhook. Some past celebrahties have been Flutegirl, Hooper Stephan, Kon, Frogger, OTK, and the one, the only, Wook 17.

Celebrahties are the jamband cousins to such internet phenenoms such as Angry Mosh Girl, Star Wars Kid, and Amanda Wenk.

Dude, I totally saw Wook 17 during that sick Tweezer jam at Red Rocks; he's such a celebrahty.

I swear if I ever catch Flutegirl playing flute near me at a show, I'll shove that flute up her ass.

The celebrication of Paris Hilton can be attributed to the release of a sex tape in 2003, which brought the celebutante to a new level of fame, leading to magazine covers, a book deal, and a reality TV series.

The surfacing of celebrity sex tapes has become so common that some in the popular media have suggested that celebrity agents and PR representatives sometimes purposely allow the releases to celebricate their client's career.
