Breaking Ball

In baseball, mostly referred as a pitch which "breaks." Those pitches being a curveball, slider, or cutter which all break. Breaking ball is mostly or widely used for a curveball.

"The 3-2 pitch is a breaking ball by Sonny Gray, striking out Robinson Cano, ending the inning."
