Military slang: a very low-ply, government-issue sheet used in an open-bay barracks/dormitory setting hanging from the top bunk to give the bottom-bunk dweller an area of partial privacy from which to beat the meat or flick the bean, as the situation dictates.

Sergeant Major: what the fuck are all these beatsheets doing hanging up in my barracks, sergeant?! Take that shit down before the whole battalion goes blind god dammit!

For a person or an object or situation (etc.) to be on the street of "beat"; used figuratively. Beat is defined in this instance as being lame or boring.

"It's so awkward right now between me and my family after I walked out on Christmas."
"I know, it's beatstreet.

"My girlfriend just broke up with me and tore shit up in my apartment before she left!"
"Beatstreet."

"I hate you."
"Ugh! That's beatstreet, man!"
