phone company (cellular and land line) that screws people out of their money with mediocre service and shitty reception. Sure, they cover 97% of America, but that coverage is only if you have roaming enabled on your phone, and even then you only get one bar.
And then we got the telephone (bill) here, AT&T: American Thieves and Thugs, which is another way of saying more money for the Mafia! -Archie Bunker, All in The Family, S7E18

A wireless phone company (also landlines and internet) with pretty bomb commercials. Not sure if their service is any good.
(I forgot her name so we'll just call her Jen)
Jen: (on the phone) hey mom, i'm in Las Vegas with (boyfriend)
Mom: Okay, just promise me you won't come home married.
(call drops)
Mom: Jen? (looks around) Listen to me, Jen; don't make the same mistake I did.

Mom: Beth!
(girl comes downstairs)
Beth: wu? (what's up)
Mom: Your cell phone bill is what's up. All these text messages.
Beth: omg, inbd. (oh my gosh, it's no big deal)
Mom: It is a big deal. Who have you been texting 300 times a day?
Beth: idk, my bff Jill? (i don't know, my best friend forever Jill)
Mom: Well tell your bff Jill that I'm taking away your phone.
Beth: tisnf! (that is so not fair)
(girl puts phone in mother's hand and goes upstairs)
Mom: Me paying this bill, that's what's...s...nf.

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
