Antubis

The anteater from the mini-series Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. He's actually Anubis but other than a child's misunderstanding, no one is for certain why exactly he appears as an anteater.

What sets him appart from real-life anteaters is his long blade-like teeth and size; he's probably about 4' 0" on all fours. He has a reputation of killing(those who deserve it) as well as healing. Despite his brutality he can be quite friendly and likes being scratched behind the ears.
Antubis is probably one of(if not the only)the most liked characters of Kingdom Hospital.

annuisance

When someone or something is so extremely aggravating that it's just not enough to call them an annoyance or a nuisance, so you use a portmanteau of both.
Jeff: My little brother is getting on my damn nerves, he's so annoying.
Mark: My sister is even worse, she's the literal definition of annuisance.

Anubis

Anubis is an incredibly ancient god, and was the original god of the dead before Osiris "took over" the position. After that point, Anubis was changed to be one of the many sons of Osiris and the psychopomp (conductor of souls) of the underworld. His totem of the jackal is probably due to the fact that jackals would hunt at the edges of the desert, near the necropolis and cemeteries throughout Egypt.
Prayers to Anubis are found carved on the most ancient tombs in Egypt and his duties apparently are many. He watches over the mummification process to ensure that all is done properly. He conducts the souls through the underworld, testing their knowledge of the gods and their faith. He places their heart on the Scales of Justice during the Judging of the Heart, and he feeds the souls of wicked people to Ammit. In some stories, Anubis is the son of Ra and Nephthys, or Set and Nephthys (probably due to Set and Anubis having the same totem animal). Some have Heset as his mother, and still others say Bast. This apparent confusion is still another sign of Anubis' origins in the most ancient of times. He also has a daughter, Kabechet, who helps him in the mummification.

Anubis

1. An popular Egyptian god that is still worshiped to this day. Anubis conducts the people’s souls to judgment; he is widely known as the god of the dead. His duties range from caring for the dead’s bodies (He is credited with inventing embalming in the book of the dead.), transporting the dead’s souls, weighing the hearts of one’s soul against the feather of Ma’at to see how good or evil they are, to even protecting people while they sleep.

Like many Egyptian gods, Anubis has the head of an animal, in His case a jackel. This is thought to be due to the fact that jackels roamed the grave yards.

Prayers to Anubis have been found carved on most ancient tombs and modern day Pagans (those who feel connected to this god) often kept a statue of Anubis by their bedside to protect them while they sleep.

2. A super villain on Stargate SG-1, Anubis is a highly powerful and hostile Half-Ascended Goa’uld. He was seen as the most evil of them all, even by other Goa’uld even before he ascended and became ever more wicked.
1. Statues of Anubis aren't hard to find these days.

2. It is a shame that Anubis was killed off; I think he was one bad ass villian.
