Wormspeak

Slang used to describe written Arabic script, first used by the British Army during the 1991 Gulf War.

"What does that sign say, Sarge?"
"Dunno, Lance - it looks like a load of wormspeak to me"

Noun. A computer that has the single purpose of running Microsoft Office. Usually used in a business setting and often overpowered and underused.

If I have to fix one more wordstation that can't print I'm going to jab a pen in someones eye.

A special language used by employees that is comprised of buzzwords, jargon, and phrases built from years of doing the same thing over and over again.

In diner WorkSpeak, "Burn one, take it through the garden and pin a rose on it" means a hamburger with lettuce, tomato and onion.

A wordshaker is someone who twists the truth and never does as they promise. It originates from british girlband The Saturdays who wrote and sang a song about it which featured on a 2009 album of the same name.

Wordsteal

When someone makes up what they think is a truly unique word or phrase, and then they hear it on tv or from somebody they don't know soon afterwards.

WORDSTEAL EXAMPLE

Sam: ...that film was "loloriffic"!!!

(two weeks later)

TV: ...and this incident has has been described as loloriffic by many witnesses.

Sam: Damn - my word has been Wordstolen!
