a Woofe maximus, more commonly known as just a wild Woofe. Weighing in at around 230 kilograms and standing more than half a meter tall on three legs, this creature is capable of consuming bark, defenestrating political opponents, and using worldwide governments as cover to run an international drug cartel. The existence of such a creature has puzzled scientists for decades.
We believe the population of Woofe is currently racing to and may possibly be exceeding 65,000. At this point, this--this species is considered a threat to most native life in environments it’s introduced.
The Woofe is nature’s perfect predator.

Woofe suddenly turns and stares into your soul.

Wooden shield

Ultra-effective chess tactic whereby a diagonal piece (i.e. a bishop or a queen) attacks 4 opponent pieces at the same time, so that the attacked pieces form an X-shape between each other, thus (according to legendary chess grandmaster xQc) resembling a wooden shield. The best move in response to the wooden shield tactic is considered to be resignation, as computers are yet to find a position where any response to the tactic doesn't lose on the spot. The tactic is considered to be incomprehensible to inexperienced players and even grandmasters, and only exceptionally high-IQ individuals with an IQ of 107 over are considered to be capable of understanding it.

Coined by prominent proponent of the Bing-Bang-Boom chess philosophy GM xQc, the wooden shield is an essential part of the theory behind the Flying Dragon, Knight variation, as well as the Flying Dragon, I Take Your Pawn variation openings, which build upon the idea that early pawns don't matter - an idea repeatedly corroborated by top-of-the-line engines and neural nets such as AlphaZero.

He holds the record for the longest reign with the Ring of Honor Pure Title and had a feud with Bryan Danielson that has been called one of the best in the history of ROH. After debuting in TNA he had an almost three month feud with Kurt Angle, and although he ultimately lost the feud he gave Angle a rum for his money. British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
