Wernit

A dim or stupid person, typically from the West Country in Britain. A Wernit is characterised by their use of the words 'Wernit' to mean 'Wasn't it' and 'Were' to mean 'Was'.

1. A term used to describe someone who has disappeared for a long amount of time.

2. Slang for Cowboy.

"Where did Jimmy go? I haven't seen him in hours."
"I don't know. Jimmy's such a Wernig."

"He rode up to school listening to Toby Keith."
"All he needs is boots and a cowboy hat and he'd be a total Wernig."
