V.U.M = Very unlucky man.

When the universe thinks that Murphy's law is good enough bad luck for you it sends you some VUM.

When literally anything and everything that could go wrong goes wrongs.

Jo at work is a VUM because even after being shafted by the owners on his pay, he then gets fired because he spoke to the union about it.
