Slang or generally generic term for carpet cleaning machine mounted in a van or trailer. Comes in many variations. The BEST equipment for cleaning carpet, upholstery, and tile and grout. Some heat the water via heat exchanger, diverting exhaust gases to heat water. Stanley Steemer uses such a device. Others employ propane, diesel, or kerosene burners. Some even run off the engine of the van or truck itself.
