Ma Xiao Tiao

马小跳, romanised Ma Xiao Tiao is a character from the Mandarin Chinese textbook used by Secondary One students in Singapore. At some point, the students started simping for Ma Xiao Tiao and making fanart and edits of him, either because they think he's hot or because it's funny.

Chinese textbooks in my school sold out fast after the girls found out about Ma Xiao Tiao.

TiVo Syndrome

When someone who has a TiVo or DVR system tries fast-forwarding though live TV out of a habit of viewing recorded programs.

Some may pause during a commercial and try to blow some time so that they may eventually skip through commercials.

What's she doing?

Oh, she's got TiVo Syndrome. She thinks that everything is already pre-recorded.

Shi-tivo

a state of television frustration.

example-When your wife or girlfriend simultaneously records crap shows (ex. Jerseylicious, Billy the Exterminator, or Real Housewives of the...) on the DVR, thus preventing quality television viewing.

I wanted to watch the game last night, but Tina logjammed the DVR with garbage. Shi-tivo!

tivage

Tivage derived from TIVO. Any amount of saved or recorded TV programming on your DVR or TIVO player.

Can also apply to any amount of time that the viewer is behind the live broadcast due to pausing the player during viewing.

"Dude, why are you watching commercials when you have tivage?"

"Fast forward thru this, we have tivage. "

"Why aren't you watching the game?"
"We're waiting to build up some tivage so we don't have to watch the commercials."
