The Ho No

The common name of the H1N1 virus, aka swine flu, aka pig flu. Derived from H O(ne) N O(ne) and necessary because H1N1 never caught on and pig or swine flu is unfair to the pork industry.

The Honor Academy

The position of sexual intercourse in which the man and woman are strictly face-to-face. Some believe that this is the only "honorable" way to have sex, and may only be executed within the context of marriage. Their reasoning comes from the fact that humans are the only living things to have sex face-to-face, although evolutionists bring strong, ape-saturated arguments to the table. It should also be known that a recent change in the rules has been added: the "Back 40" is strictly off limits, except when entered in the presence of a core advisor.
Dave: Dude, how is married life?
Ron: I can't even begin to describe how much The Honor Academy changed my life. Let's just say I'm enrolled in The HA and I will never leave!
Randy: Anyone who leaves The Honor Academy will be in sin for the rest of his life.
Ron: My thought exactly.

do the honours

A term coined by @saucydocs on their hot sauce based instagram. 'Doing the honours' refers to the act of licking the spoon that has just been used to serve the hot sauce at the end of the meal. Thereby declaring that the meal is over and/or that if anyone wants more hot sauce, they will need a new spoon.
"Me and the boys were getting saucy last night but then David's girlfriend came in so we all watched while she did the honours."

"Jane doesn't usually like hot sauce but when we said to her "do the honours", she was persuaded. On reflection, she enjoyed the experience overall"

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
